Fibertown
Fibertown is a Tier IV data center in downtown Bryan, providing redundant power and cooling, security systems, and 24/7 availability. Its dedicated fiber trunk delivers virtually unlimited connectivity to Texas A&M, including interconnection to the TTVN and LEARN networks. Fibertown is part of the TAMU IP space.Because this new service is under a master purchase agreement, campus users do not need to use the bid process to rent space in Fibertown. The agreement offers flexible lease options, including renting partial or entire cabinets, month-to-month rental, or leasing for the entire year. Billing is administered through Telecommunications, so department will not need to set up billing with Fibertown.
Note: You will need to send a networking request to consult@tamu.edu. Describe the asset(s) you will be placing in Fibertown and specify how many network drops will be needed.
