Best of Texas 2002 Winner

Texas A&M University and The University of Texas System received the 2002 Best of Texas award for their statewide collaborative network. The two "rival" institutions share bandwidth and Internet connectivity across Texas. By cooperating and sharing telecommunications and network infrastructure, each is able to provide better service and save money.

The Texas awards are sponsored by the Center for Digital Government and Government Technology magazine. The program salutes state government IT professionals for their dedication, hard work, and contributions to better, more responsive, and transparent government.
